Dr Mwangi Kinyanjui is trained in forestry (B. Sc Forestry, M.Sc Forest Biology and Silviculture both from Moi university, Eldoret Kenya) and Natural Resource Management (Ph. D at egerton University, Njoro Kenya). He is a Global forester having visited all the forest biomes of the world and understands forestry issues. He lecturers in forestry and Natural Resource Management at Karatina University and is a forest advisor for the IB&C forest team. He has supported development of management plans in Burera, Musanze, Nyabihu, Gatsibo, Rwamagana, Gasabo, Nyarugenge and Kicukiro Districts
